To begin, a lash expert lifts the lashes from the root to go in an upwards direction. Once the solution is applied, the lashes stay in the upward position open up the eyes and creating a brighter more glamorous look. Treatment Process
- Consultation: Discuss lash goals and assess the natural length and thickness to determine the ideal curl and tint.
- Lash Lifting: Lashes are carefully curled upwards using a gentle lifting solution, creating a defined and voluminous look.
- Lash Tinting: You can choose from a custom tint which is then applied to darken the lashes, enhancing their length and visibility for a bolder effect. This step is optional.
- Lash Conditioning: The last step after lifting and tinting is to add a conditioning serum, ensuring the lashes are hydrated and nourished.
What to Expect After Lash Lift
Pre-Treatment:
- It’s recommended to come to your appointment without any makeup, oils or mascara on the lashes.
- Try to avoid using waterproof mascara the day before the treatment.
- If you have lash extensions, let your tech know and have them removed before the lash lift.
- Consider removing contact lenses if they may cause discomfort.
Post-Treatment:
- Keep lashes dry and avoid steam, heavy sweating and water for the first 24-48 hours.
- Avoid applying mascara or eye makeup for 24 hours to ensure the lift lasts.
- Avoid rubbing eyes or sleeping face down to prevent disrupting the lashes.
- Stick to oil-free cleansers and makeup removers.
Long-Term Care:
- You may resume your normal makeup routine after 48 hours have passed, including the use of mascara if desired.
